E-Course

What makes a GREAT E-Course for Your Business Online?

Common mistakes cut the value of the average ecourse, but who wants to be average? Let’s improve on average and create a GREAT E-Course to promote your business. The more power your E-Course brings to your customer, the more likely your customer is to STAY the course, and become a permanent customer of your business.

1. Present your E-Course Introduction with an overview but don’t give away the cow in your overview outline. An introduction is a teaser, not the main course or a grand finale, just tempt your reader to keep them coming back for each portion of the course.

2. Give your reader enough information during the E-Course to build their confidence in you, and to bring them in for more information. But again, don’t give them too much. You’ll overwhelm them in the beginning and they’ll check out. Give them details of small bits, so they can grasp what you do give them.

3. Write like you talk. People really don’t want to know that your vocabulary was taken from the Exotic College Dictionary of Words, they want to be able to READ what you write. Keep It Simple Stupid, means use words that real people understand. You know, like when you’re talking.

4. In each portion of the course, remind the readers what they’ve learned and tell them what they’ll learn next. It’s important to connect the dots for your readers. You don’t want them to have to do a lot of extra work or seeking information in past portions of the course, so a nice link to each segment after you’ve done it might be helpful.

5. Repurpose the whole E-Course into an EBOOK, for those who’ve finished the course and you’ll have a permanent VIRAL reminder of where they learned all this wonderful information. It’s like a collection of your lessons all wrapped up in one cover. Make it easy for your readers to catch up and keep up by including a link to the E-Book in the final message, along with an invitation to your next event.

Presenting your ebook is often the easy part of sending it out. PDF file formats make it easy to give your customers a quality copy of your E-Course on a website link. Simply transport the file to the internet, give the readers a link to your file, and you’ve got crisp clear copies most anyone can read and understand, without sending bulky email files.
